Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) Cause

Our Fight Against Antimicrobial Resistance

Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) occurs when bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites change over time and no longer respond to medicines, making infections harder to treat and increasing the risk of disease spread, severe illness, and death.

At Phoenix CBO, we're committed to raising awareness about AMR and promoting responsible use of antimicrobial medicines in our community. Our initiatives include:

  • Community education on proper use of antibiotics
  • Training healthcare workers on AMR prevention
  • Promoting infection prevention and control measures
  • Advocating for policies that address AMR

Join us in this critical fight to preserve the effectiveness of antimicrobial medicines for future generations.
